It’s a fictional story set in a world where 43 women simultaneously gave birth on October 1, 1989. Even though none of the women showed signs of pregnancy before that moment. Seven of those 43 children were adopted by eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves. They were then trained to become superheroes under his guidance.
The series starts with the estranged siblings reunited as adults in the present day after Hargreeves’ unexpected death. Now comes the unpacking of the trauma Hargreeves caused with his extremely strict parenting. But in the midst of this they also need to stop the apocalypse from happening in eight days. Amongst all these crises they are also catching up in avoiding the wrath of a top-secret time travel agency whose goal is to protect their version of the timeline. You know like the usual family issues! The Umbrella Academy’s story maintains its intrigue and uniqueness in a world filled with on-screen heroes. The series is back with a new season and episodes. This has been a favourite of most people around the world. Stranger things came with season 4 this year distributed into 2 volumes. This online show never fails to amaze me personally. Every season and episode is so well constructed that whether you binge watch the show or watch standalone episodes, it has so much to offer in each episode. Telling the plot of the show can give out a lot of spoilers.
So to safeguard you from that I’ll just do the basic one liner. The story is about a few kids (now teenagers), that are living in a city called Hawkins in the US. They start to experience “Strange Things” from another dimension. They also meet a girl their age in the first season itself, who happens to have supernatural powers. Having said that, she is also completely oblivious to the life and world we know of. The show deals with the town’s struggle and how these intelligent and so called ‘nerdy’ kids along with some grown ups fight to protect their town. It’s a highly addictive binge worthy show. Every season ends with more & more questions and open theories for the viewers to comprehend.
Bridgerton (2020-present)

If you are one for the ancient British era aesthetics and tales then this online show is perfect for you. The series has been inspired from the books of Julia Quinn. It’s a series of eight Regency romance novels released from 2000 to 2006. It follows the journey of the eight siblings of the noble Bridgerton family as they navigate London high society. These siblings are shown in search of love, adventure and happiness. The series is addictive with the second season increasing the intrigue factor as the female lead is an Indian girl.
