How to Make Iced Black Coffee At Home

To make iced black coffee at home, all you need is coffee and water. However, since it is ‘iced coffee’, you’re going to need some ice as well. If you like your coffee sweet, then you’ll also need some sugar or any other sweetener of your preference.

Coffee not only gives us a boost of energy but there are also many health benefits of coffee. During summer months, however, drinking hot black coffee can make you feel hotter and sweaty. However, iced coffee can come to your rescue during such times.

Now, there are many different ways of making iced coffee. You can make it in less than 5 minutes using just instant coffee, water, and ice. However, true coffee connoisseurs know the taste and flavour of brewed coffee – and this process takes longer. There’s another coffee brewing method which is much faster, but you need a coffee maker for that. In this blog, we’re going to share all these 3 methods with you. You can go for some of the best coffee brands in India to use for this process.

How To Make Iced Black Coffee At Home With A Coffee Maker

If it’s brewed coffee that you like, but also want it fast, then the Coffee Maker machine is for you! It gives you coffee that has a well-rounded flavour that you can tell apart from instant coffee very easily. It has low maintenance, isn’t very expensive, and gives you authentic and rich coffee in minutes. So let’s find out how to make iced black coffee at home with the help of a coffee maker.

Step 1: Turn on the coffee maker and add the ground coffee beans/coffee blend into it. 3 tablespoons should be enough, but you need to decide how many cups you want and how strong.

Step 2: Add 250 ml water to the water section and turn the machine on.

Step 3: Let the coffee brew and drip into the flask.

Step 4: If you want to add sugar or sweetener to your coffee, now is the time to do it. Sugar mixes better when the beverage is still hot.

Step 5: If your concoction is still hot, let it cool down to room temperature. Once it is cool, you can even stick it in the fridge if you have some time on your hands.

Step 6: Take a tall glass or a whiskey glass and add 3-4 cubes of ice

Step 7: Pour the cool coffee from the flask into the glass. Enjoy!

How To Make Iced Black Coffee At Home With Instant Coffee

This is by far the easiest way to make instant iced black coffee. All you need for it is some hot water and instant coffee.

Step 1: Heat some water in a pan or in an electric kettle. You can take about 200-250 ml.

Step 2: Let the water come to a boil for a minute.

Step 3: Add 1-2 tablespoons of coffee to a mug based on how strong you like it. Because of the ice, your coffee is anyway going to get watered down a little bit. So, if you like it a little strong, you might as well consider putting an extra teaspoon or so in there.

Step 4: Pour the hot water into the mug.

Step 5: If you want to sweeten your coffee, now is the best time to add the brown sugar or stevia to it so that it can mix well.

Step 6: Let the mug sit for a while till it is cool. Once cool, you can put it in the fridge for some more time to make it cold.

Step 7: Take a few ice cubes in a glass and pour the contents of the coffee mug over it. Enjoy your iced black coffee!

Step 1: Heat about 300 ml water in a pan or in an electric kettle till lukewarm.

Step 2: Add 3 tablespoons of ground coffee to the bottom of the French press jar.

Step 3: Pour 50 ml of the lukewarm water into the jar and mix the coffee in it properly using a steel stirrer or spoon.

Step 4: Now, pour the other 250 ml into the jar and put the lid on top. Make sure not to press the plunger at this point.

Step 5: Let the coffee brew for 4-5 hours. You can even leave it overnight in the fridge.

Step 6: Once brewed, plunge it down to the bottom so the strainer in the French Press settles the ground coffee and the brew comes on top

Step 7: Take a glass with ice cubes. Pour the coffee into it. You can also add a sweetener on top, stir, and mix well.
