Ingredients:
- 340g penne or rigatoni
- 410g or 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large pot or Dutch oven.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried basil, and oregano. Bring to a simmer.

- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
