  • Ginger: 1-inch piece, grated
  • Green cardamom pods: 2-3, crushed
  • Cloves: 2-3
  • Cinnamon stick: 1 small piece
  • Black peppercorns: 2-3
  • Fennel seeds (optional): 1/2 teaspoon
  • Star anise (optional): 1 piece

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Spices:
    • In a saucepan, add 2 cups of water.
    • Add grated ginger, crushed cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, fennel seeds, and star anise.
    • Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavors.
  1. Add Tea:
    • Add the tea leaves or tea bags to the boiling water and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  1. Add Milk and Sugar:
    • Add 1 cup of milk to the mixture.
    • Add sugar to taste and stir well.
    • Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  1. Strain and Serve:
