It’s not just a beverage that we enjoy for its flavour, we use it for specific physical responses as well. Black Coffee is a beverage made using coffee and water. That’s it. Zero calories! You can choose to add sweeteners like sugar, jaggery, stevia, etc to sweeten the pot. You can even add a few drops of milk or creamer, but all that’s really up to you. #BlackCoffeeMatters
Now, there are two primary ways to make black coffee at home, with instant coffee, and by brewing. If you are a true coffee connoisseur and believe that God is in the details, then the brew method is for you! However, if you’re someone who likes to be quick and is usually busy, you can simply choose the ‘Instant Coffee’ method. We’re going to share both with you!
Coffee Maker machines are actually great if you like the flavour of brewed coffee as compared to instant coffee. It tastes more authentic but is quite easy to make at home. All you need for it is a coffee maker, a coffee blend of your choice, and water.
Step 1: Turn on the coffee maker
Step 2: Add coffee blend or roasted coffee beans to it. You can add as much or as little as you please
Step 3: In the water section, add water
Step 4: Switch it on and let it drip into the flask while it brews
Step 5: Enjoy a hot cup of coffee in minutes! You can add some sugar or stevia to sweeten it.
This is by far the easiest way to make instant coffee. All you need for it is some hot water and instant coffee.
Step 1: Heat some water in a pan or in an electric kettle. You can take about 200-250 ml.
Step 2: Pour the hot water into a cup.
Step 3: Add 2 teaspoon of instant coffee to it. Mix well.
Step 4: Alternatively, you can add the coffee to the mug first and then pour hot water into it.
French Press is great for making cold AS WELL AS hot brews. For this, all you need is water, ground coffee beans, and a french press. Here are the easy steps to make it.
Step 1: Heat about 300 ml water in a pan or in an electric kettle. It only needs to be slightly lukewarm.
Step 2: Add 2-3 tablespoons of the ground coffee to the french press glass jar based on how strong you like your coffee.
Step 3: Pour 50 ml of the lukewarm water over the coffee into the jar. Mix well with a steel spoon.
Step 4: Slowly pour the rest of the 250 ml water into the jar.
Step 5: Put the lid on top but don’t plunge it yet.
Step 6: Leave the french press for 4-5 hours, preferably overnight.
Step 7: For a cold brew, you can leave it outside during winters and stick it in the fridge during summer.
Step 8: Plunge the lid down to the bottom so the strainer in the French Press settles the ground coffee down.
Step 9: Pour the coffee into a cup of milk, or directly into the cup over ice to enjoy a cold brew. Otherwise, you can heat it in a pan and enjoy a hot brew.
