Grocery Planning Simplified: Subscription Model

Spread the love

The best way to save money in your house budget is through grocery planning. Here are a few reasons why you should plan your food shopping.

When you have a plan in place, you’re less likely to succumb to last-moment purchases and waste time & money in ordering back and forth. You can even benefit your health by sticking to your list and avoiding the temptation of sugar foods and other junk foods.

Why is Grocery Planning Important?

Saves Time:

Not making a grocery list could lead to forgetting items and re-ordering or re-visiting the store. Also, when one has a list ready you don’t get confused or get lost in plethora of products listed on a grocery app or placed inside a store. Your ordering time-span would be much less with a ready list of items in hand.

Saves Money:

We’ve all been there! Even with a proper list in hand we end up ordering from our temptations as we scroll about and definitely increase our order budget each time. Now imagine doing this with no list, you’ll end up aimlessly scrolling and will end up ordering a lot of things which you were not supposed to. Going over the budget is a highly common practice for people who do not plan their grocery shopping.

Avoids Waste:

When you are confused as to what to do with your purchases, it is fairly easy to forget what you have already and in how much quantity and therefore you often end up double shopping and wasting. About ⅓ of all food purchased in first world countries is thrown out in a world where many countries are fighting hunger. You can become a conscious buyer and avoid that waste simply by grocery planning. Food waste continues to be a problem in our modern society. In European households, between 95 and 115 kilos of food end up in the trash each year. Yet it only takes a few small changes in our day-to-day lives to avoid much of this waste.

An important first step is to do your shopping wisely! Ditch the annoying question of “What’s for dinner?” and create a meal plan for the week and add the required ingredients to your shopping list.

Reduces Stress:

We often ignore the stress associated with meal planning. The first step to break this stress is to plan & shop your supplies in accordance with your weekly or monthly meal plan. Ordering aimlessly, without understanding what you’re going to do with it will only result in stress.

Planning of any kind only helps us succeed in life, even in the sphere of maintaining a healthy lifestyle by just some prior grocery planning.

Grocery Planning with the Subscription Model

What is Subscription?

Subscription is a program that allows you to pre schedule delivery of your grocery essentials. Once you decide the frequency in which you want a particular product delivered, you can set the same frequency on the app. For example, if you need bread every Thursday, you can set the same in the Milkbasket calendar. We will provide doorstep delivery services on the chosen/selected dates or in a daily, weekly or alternate day format.

Along with the ease of delivery and healthy inventory check of your household, our subscription comes bearing more benefits for our customers. Subscription also brings additional savings on your daily essentials. Therefore, we give you extra savings on your order depending on the below mentioned discount brackets when you put items on subscription.

– 5% savings with 1 item on subscription

– 8% savings with 2 items on subscription

– 10% savings with 3 or more items on subscription

Milkbasket enables you to plan and pre-schedule your grocery deliveries, along with rewarding discounts on your grocery planning habits. Now save on your daily needs with the above mentioned savings brackets.

Difference between Subscription vs Subscribe to Save

Subscription is a model that allows you to add any grocery items for pre scheduled deliveries on dates/days of your choice. Whereas the feature of Subscribe to Save helps you save on these pre scheduled orders for select items and categories.

Now the real question is, How to put items on Subscription?

Here’s How:

  • Step 1: Go to the calendar icon on your home screen
  • Step 2: Search for the products or select from the listings and add to subscription
  • Step 3: Select your plan type as per the frequency of delivery you’d like to add. It can be weekly, daily, on alternate days or any other date of your preference.

You can also choose to pause & resume any subscribed item as per your requirements at the moment. Here is how you can pause or resume subscriptions:

  • Step 1: Click on the calendar icon to check your items on subscription
  • Step 2: Select the product you want to pause
  • Step 3: Click the pause button placed on the right side of the product
  • Step 4: Confirm whether you’d like to pause the select product or not & successfully pause the subscribed item post confirmation
  • Step 5: In case of resuming any paused item go to your subscriptions again
  • Step 6: See the paused item and click the resume button on the right to restart the deliveries

In case you wish to completely remove a particular item from subscription, if it isn’t required as a repeat delivery for you anymore, that option is also available in the calendar section.

Last but not the least, the cashback & discounts Milkbasket’s grocery delivery app provides on the subscribed items. As mentioned above as well, are as follows:

Savings from Grocery Planning

  • 5% savings on 1 item
  • 8% savings on 2 items
