Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Palak Paneer:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh spinach, washed and chopped
  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Take a pan and heat the oil in it. And add cumin seeds to it
  2. When they start to crackle, add chopped onions. Saute until they turn translucent.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, tomato, green chilli and cook for a minute.
  4. Add all spices – coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Next, add chopped spinach and mix well.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Let the mixture cool down. Then blend it into a smooth puree.
  8. Pour the puree back into the pan and add the paneer cubes.
  9. Add salt and cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  10. Add cream and mix well. Cook for 2-3 more minutes.
  11. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan, roti or rice.

2: Paneer Tikka Masala: A popular Paneer dish commonly eaten in North India made with tender paneer cubes, onions, capsicum and spices. An easy-to-make snack, perfect for parties and gatherings. 

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Paneer Tikka Masala:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into cubes
  • 1 red onion, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • 1 tsp of ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1 tsp of coriander powder
  • 1 tsp of garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp of red chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp of oil
  • Skewers

Instructions:

  • Soak skewers in water for at least 30-35 minutes.
  • Combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Add paneer, bell pepper, and onion to the mixture.
  • Mix well, making sure each piece is coated with the marinade.
  • Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 – 40 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers.
  • Brush the skewers with oil.
  • Place the skewers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the paneer is golden brown.
  • Serve tempting hot with green chutney and naan.

3: Paneer Kofta: A versatile dish made with tender pieces of Paneer that is soft and melt-in-your-mouth. It is generally stuffed with nuts and spices and served in a rich and creamy gravy.

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams paneer, crumbled
  • 2-3 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 2 tsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp green chili paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powderjju
  • Salt to taste
  • 6-8 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Combine crumbled paneer, mashed potatoes, corn flour, ginger paste, green chili paste, cumin powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Gently mix well and form small round balls (koftas).
  3. Take a pan and heat the oil for deep-frying.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the paneer koftas and fry them until they turn golden brown.
  5. Drain the fried koftas on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  6. Heat 2 tbsp of oil and add cumin seeds.
  7. When they start to crackle, add chopped onions. Saute well!
  8. Add garlic and ginger and cook for a minute.
  9. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  10. Add all the spices – coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
  11. Once cooled, blend it into a smooth puree.
  12. Pour the puree back into the pan and add cream.
  13. Mix well and cook for 3-5 minutes.
  14. Add the fried paneer koftas to the sauce and cook on low heat.
  15. Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan, roti or rice.
